4. Was offered a spread in Playboy Magazine with a fee of $25,000
which she respectfully turned down due to personal convictions
and principles which stunned fellow contestants and even the press.

A BRIEF SELF-DESCRIPTION BY JOCELYN OXLADE

"I'm a twenty-one year-old (now 23) half-British and half-Filipino woman.
I lost my father to cancer at a young age so I grew up admiring my
mother who was a strong and independent single mom of three.
My self-motivation, drive and determination to succeed
are characteristics I imbibed from her.

I fell in love with music and all forms of expression at the age of three.
I began taking dance and piano lessons while singing
and songwriting came naturally to me.
I am currently in the process of making my debut album.

I moved to the Philippines two years ago after graduating from college.
I have always wanted to move to the Philippines to learn about the
other half of my heritage. I love the culture, the people
and of course, the country itself because it is one of the
most beautiful places in the world. [source]

Chiaki Kuriyama , born in Tsuchiura, Ibaraki Prefecture, is a Japanese actress and model.

Career
Chiaki was one of most popular models of the mid-1990s child model boom in Japan. In 1997, she appeared in her break in the photobooks Shinwa-Shoujo (Girl of Myth) and Shoujokan (Girl's Residence), photographed by Kishin Shinoyama. Shinwa-Shoujo became a best-seller but, as it contained some nudity, was discontinued by the publisher in 1999 after the institution of new anti-child pornography laws. She also posed as a model for the child fashion magazines Nicola (1997-2001) and Puchi Lemon (1996-2001).

She first achieved widespread recognition as an actress in Japan for her starring roles in the horror films Shikoku (1999) and Ju-on (2000). Chiaki also appeared in the action film Battle Royale (2000) in the role of Takako Chigusa.


Following feature appearances on several notable Japanese television programs (including Rokubanme no Sayoko), Chiaki made her Hollywood debut in director Quentin Tarantino's 2003 film Kill Bill, Volume I as Gogo Yubari, the manriki-wielding schoolgirl yakuza bodyguard of Tokyo mob mistress O-Ren Ishii. Chiaki's lines in the film were all in Japanese (except for two words, "bingo" and "hi"), although she has stated that she is in the process of learning English and hopes to play more English-language roles in the future.

Chiaki's other film appearances include major roles in the samurai drama Azumi 2: Death or Love and Takashi Miike's Yokai Daisenso. [src]

Carmen Soo Wai Mun is a Chinese Malaysian fashion model and actress. At the age of 17, Soo ventured into modeling and left Malaysia at the age of 20 for Hong Kong, to pursue her modeling career.

At 160cm tall, her petite size is not conducive to catwalk modelling, hence most of her shoots tend to be print and television commercials. However, she has had quite a lot of success within that area, gracing many local magazine covers such as NewMan, V Mag, NewTide and NuYou. She also has been recruited as the spokesperson for international watch brand Longines, along with Malaysian theatre personality Paula Malai Ali.

Soo landed herself a minor acting role in a Jackie Chan movie entitled 'Gorgeous' alongside with Shu Qi and later on played the leading actress in Aaron Kwok's musical special.

Her latest appearance was a stage play entitled 'The Girl from Ipoh' and a Celcom advertisement with Singaporean singer, JJ Lin. She owns a boutique named 'Kushi' located in Bangsar. Her most recent acting role is in 'Trio & a Bed', where she is one of the three female leads, together with Amber Chia & Annabelle Kong. The show also stars three other male counterparts as their various and overlapping love interests - Daniel Tan, Jeffery Chong and Danny Wan. Soo currently resides in Petaling Jaya with her family.
